Air 9 RDO bottom bracket issues

    Hello:

I was looking at purchasing a used 2018 AIR 9 RDO this week. The bike has about 800 miles on it and has had it's pressed fit bottom bracket replaced once. When I test rode the bike it's bottom bracket was creaking badly. I don't know if the issue may be a mismanfactured bottom bracket shell? Has anyone here had any issues with the bottom bracket that was the result of issues with the frame?

    Thanks!

Does the 2018 air9 use an aluminum insert in the carbon shell like the previous one9? If so it could be as simple as pressing out the cups, cleaning the shell and cups, then spraying some carbo-grip on both and reinstalling.

Terrible, I have no clue if the 2018 air9 has aluminum inserts. Maybe someone can verify that knows?

I just know the creaking scared me. I don't want to buy a frame that may have issues especially being a second owner that would not get any warranty support. )-:

    Thanks!
