2014 Rip 9 RDO Lower Suspension Bearing

Recently replaced my lower suspension bearings (about 18 months ago) and they still rotate freely and show no signs of significant wear. My issue is the retaining flat nut that holds the bearing in on the non-drive side (just below the rear shock) keeps backing off after each ride creating play and needs to be re-tightened. This happens after every ride and is very frustrating. The flat nut that holds the bearing in is supposed to be hand tight, which is what I've been doing. The bearing and flat nut towards the rear is fine and does not back off. Anyone have issues with this? It appears that it is a ratcheting effect, meaning, when the suspension flexes, the nut turns counter clockwise and as the suspension returns to normal it does not turn back. The nut is flat and screws on to the plastic bracket so I'm not sure if can use threadlock. Any help/advice is appreciated.
