    Hyperion (Nicolai GPI)

It's April and my frame will be finished somewhere this month. (oh the anticipation!)

Anyway a lot of parts are in or on their way, to avoid chaos in the other GPI topic, I started this one.

I had plans to convert it to 29 inch, but I keep getting new projects/work so there is no time left for this kind of extra.

The frame color will be "Atomic Yellow" with blue decals/extra love and a blue pinion box. I wanted to do purple first, but I think blue would just age a little bit less.

For now I made a Photoshop concept image. I used it to balance the other parts out. (colorwise) Below are a couple of the parts that I already received. When I start building I will take better pictures of everything.

    Photoshop concept:

    Pedals:

    Headcap:

    Brake lever:

    Brake caliper:

    Onyx Hubs:

Saevid saddle in the wrong color...ouch:

Saevid saddle in the right color (Repainted by Singlebe)

Syntace Co-sponsored stuff: (Dropper only when I go abroad.)

    Specs so far:

I will update as soon as I receive more stuff.

    This week the frame arrived:

And here are some other parts waiting for installation, sadly I'm still missing a few parts, like uhm wheels! I did a faux build up to see how it looks so far.

And my own 203 rotor design that hopefully will be cut tomorrow.

    Any updates?

BrakeStuff just posted the complete bike on Facebook!

Looks awesome! Total love to the detail! Do you plan on any upgrades? Or is is perfect in this state?

Did Nicolai charge you something extra for the paint? Cause its a standard RAL colour i think it should be included!

    Hi guys!

Sorry for the long absence. Lets see if this account still works

I changed tires for 2.8 Nobby Nics, pretty nice match with the HV wheels. Paint: I believe the RAL color is a standard color. They do charge extra for the BIG N stickers. I'm planning to change the brakes to Hope, and the discs as well. I just can't put enough TLC in the Trickstuff brakes. They are good brakes, but this bike sees a full cleaning once a year, Hope's seem to deal better with that. (This is a commuter bike as well, so daily use.)

My next Nicolai (whenever) will get it easier, I plan to spread my summer and winter commute over 2 bikes. Where the N get's the summer dry conditions and the Viks GT (or something similar) the winter season. I just need to see how I get the budget for 2 $12000+ bikes...
