    G13 with Fox 36 150?

Anyone run a 150mm travel fork on their standard Nicolai G13? How'd it perform?

    Cheers

So in a nutshell - without frame modifications, any fork longer than 140mm is probably not best suited for the g13? (Im thinking 160mm fork)

150mm is fine, 160mm will work but will compromise ride unless sagged additionally and will make a mess of the std SA.

Right, got ya. Hence the -2 headset..

Do you think we might see 160mm up front on a 29er in the not so distant future?

    G13 with Fox 36 150?

Bigcrs the -2 is to put the G13 where Mojo wanted it I.e at 62.5 not 64.5. The G13 is a Nicolai std model and They werent sure the public would accept Mojos view of what works on a 29er. Most customers decide based on paper numbers not rides.

    There already is.

See the GeoMetron thread. Mojo G16

The Mojo G16 works great with 29 wheels, easiest at 155mm rear/160mm front, no adjustments to the shock required (no offset bush required)
Easy to set up with 175mm rear and 160mm or 170mm front with either a 36 or a 40 with a couple of offset bushes to set the B.B. height but is a bit slack for some people.

I explain how to do this at various points in the thread.

We are looking st some changes to allow the 175mm setup too without using bushes to set the B.B. and to retain the std 62 HA.

    175mm 29er

    155mm 29er

    155mm 29er

    27.5/29 175mm

All bikes with 160mm ebike 36 fork.

Ah thanks for the clarification. Id been loosely following the other thread and it was only after Id posted the question Id just come across the 29er info.

Do you have any leads on secondhand current model G16s avalable? Im 63, 32 inseam. Steep, angry, fast/slow tech BC terrain is always on the menu...

BC Canada? I can keep my eye out. Youd be either a Longest or XL. With your inseam Id suggest Longest until next gen with shorter Seat tubes again in which case you might be ok with XL.
Maybe some ex demo bikes and mine (Longest) will be available when the protos are finished.
If you dk me an email. I can keep you in the loop.

Yes sir, BC Canada. Come on out Id be more than happy to show you around! Ive been eyeing off the XL. Though if you catch a lead on either please let me know.

One question I havent yet found the answer for in the other thread. Why the ebike fork?

May take you up on that on my list...

Eying off or eying up? XL would be natural size now but plenty of guys your size on a Longest. Longest would suit your inseam right now with a 150mm dropper.

    Ebike fork for added stiffness...

Eyeing off - Ive been looking at or like the looks of it.

Its probably an Australian thing, its something us convicts would say. I just asked my Canadian wife if see knew what it meant. She just gave me a confused look and shook her head.

I understood it. Just wondered if it was a typo. They both mean the same thing.
