    New connecting trail in Farmington

The BLM has been working on this one for a while, however, they have not constructed a gate as of yet at Hood Mesa Trail. This will connect Anasazi loop to Rigor Mortis just past the Private Property boundary, which will eventually eliminate road travel to get to Kinsey/Rigor. Out and back is 5.5 miles with approximately 500 feet of elevation gain with twisty and tight bermed turns and decent climbs. Give it a go if you haven't yet!

For the area, we have a decent selection of trails here, plus riding is year-round. Trails aren't very technical, but there is Alien with the Outer Limits if you are looking for something along those lines. Two more trails (extensions), Wild Bill and Lake View if you are feeling black diamond, tie into Seven Sisters. Durango riding is very close, less than an hour away. I was impressed by the amount of work the BLM has done to the new trail tying Rigor and Anasazi, you can tell they spent some serious time on it.
