    Huge Kudos to Nox Composites...

I wanted to share an awesome customer service experience.

I had a wheel set built last January around Nox Composites carbon Rims, the Kitsumas to be exact which I've been loving!

Last Saturday with a combination of speed and not picking up a smoother line on my way out of Otero canyon I broke my rear rim(rock strike!),yesterday a made a phone call to Nox Composites, spoke to Jon in the customer service department about it,and after a brief conversation told me to send them a email with a picture of the cracked rim and the serial number of the rim..today i had an email waiting for me from Nox telling me the replacement rim is on its way to me! No hassle,no questions asked, nothing, all I had to do is pay 20 bucks for the shipping to New Mexico.

That's what I call a damn good customer service and they for sure had made a customer for life out of me!! can't beat it, a damn good product, Lifetime warranty for the original owner and customer service second to none! Huge Kudos to them!

RCC sorry to hear you managed to take out a rim, but glad Jon took care of you quickly and thank you for the kind words. We do in fact have a lifetime warranty and if you manage to damage a rim under normal riding scenarios, yep we take care of you. We understand good carbon rims/wheels are an investment. Customer service is a big part of what we do!

Yes sir true to the bone! two rides on the skinny wheel already and it does not compare ,not even close to the ride quality of the Kitsumas!

I just wanted to second RCC's post. I had basically the exact same experience. I was preriding a enduro race course and took a bad line fast and hard. I heard a loud noise, looked down and sure enough a cracked rim. I was able to actually continue riding for at least another hour to get back to my car.

I made a call to Nox when I got home, and they had me a new rim within a few days. Great customer service. I love knowing that I will be taken care of and do not have to think twice about it while riding!

Aren't carbon rims supposed to be bomber-proof? I ride pretty hard on a set of Stans ARCH MK3 29s and have only managed to dent the rim, no structural issues. How hard are you people riding that you're breaking your carbon rims?

You need to search/watch some of Ramon's vids and you will have your answer as to why the failure occurred. Oh Btw, the guy is his 50s!

I had a similar experience. I had a custom wheelset laced up - DT Swiss hubs and Stan's aluminum tubeless rimes. I rode them for 6 years on all kinds of bad lines and they never broke once!

No need for customer service when you are riding the right component....

^That kind of logic will get you a defunct bike industry. Maybe some cottage makers would survive...

I have a set of Stans wheels on I9 hubs that I use for my UNM bike. Hucks to flat on concrete, stair gaps and major hard hits. The bearings get redone every year, but the hoops have held up really well.'

We have another friend who rides as hard as Ramon (in his 60s!) and he recently killed a NOX hoop too. No haggle warranty though. I have yet to crush my NOX wheels, but from what I hear its happening on cases and rock strikes.

That dent would have most likely resulted in a cracked carbon wheel. While not more resistant to rock/rim strikes they are more resistant side load forces. The biggest benefits are the increased stiffness and decreased weight.
