    Female support

My wife and I, in our 50s, have concluded it would be nice if she started riding. So, after 27+ years I kinda know how she is. She's never going to ride the thing by herself, and we've already tried riding together (hence the 20+ year stretch of her not asking for another bike). My question is, I'd like to hook her up with some ladies that are her speed. Of course, she is very social so I'm sure she would click with just about anybody her speed. Any suggestions before I go out and buy her a bike? Also if someone has a nice womans, small, bike in the Albuquerque area for sale, we'd like to see it. Thanks! Tellu-rider.

I know that we have a pretty active women's group riding here in Los Alamos if she doesn't mind traveling a bit. Check out Tuff Riders Mountain Bike Club

You can start here...no need to be a club member. No rides listed at her level right now but you should sign up for notices. Also try Peeps on Meetup.

The Pedal Queens ride out of Santa Fe + the Santa Fe Fat Tire Society puts on a weekly ladies ride.

This upcoming weekend there is a 2-day women's clinic at Angel Fire Bike Park for all riding levels.
