Camping & South Boundary Trail Help

I am trying to find some information to put together a solo camping/mtn biking trip. From what I read, I would like to try out the South Boundary Trail. I am looking for recommendations on where to camp and how to make this happen. My first concern is that most people recommend a point to point with a drop car at the end. Since I plan to be solo, this doesn't sound like an option. Is there any way to camp near the trail and take a slightly different approach? If not, any other trail recommendations for what I would like to accomplish. Is late May too soon for this season?

FTR - I am mostly looking to camp out of the back of my truck, not a bikepacking trip. I like to reward my hard days pedaling with a cold beer back at camp.

You can camp anywhere you want. I like Garcia Park and you can do unlimited loops and out and backs from there. Let me know if I can help with maps or anything else. Trail should be clear soon now.

Thanks. Would you mind sharing a link of any maps? I'm aiming for late May.

    Thanks Again,

    Nathan
