    Another Day, Another Stolen Bike

If you happen to see a Banshee Rune, Black on Black, Fox 34, CCDB Air/CS, Shimano 1X10, XT Brakes (older gen.), WTB Frequency 650B rims on blue Hope hubs, X-Fusion Dropper, let me know.
Can't decide who is worse: bike thieves or trail vandals. Thieves cost me more.

I'm so spoiled living in Germany now days.

Last year, I left my FJ parked in a unlit alley for 2 months (yeah, it's a pain in the ass to drive since it's so wide) before I realized I'd left it unlocked with my GPS stuck to the windshield & my titanium Titus Exogrid stashed in the cargo space. To my shock no one bothered it.

I was telling this to my German neighbor & expressing my shock no one stole my stuff, and he looked at me with a confused expression on his face and said, "Why would anyone want to steal that? They would just go buy those things if they wanted them."

Yeah, it's going to be incredibly difficult to move back home.

I have been in Italy for past two weeks. I had a project that I had to develop here and afterwards my wife and I took 10 days to travel. What's amazing me is how clean everything is (albeit there is graffiti). AND how responsible every seems to be. We have walked a good bit here. Often we have found ourselves in large groups of young people (18-25 or so--I know, I know, but at 52, it seems young to me!) who are having great times with beer and wine, but no one ever seems drunk or out of control. That same situation in the States always has elements which are drunk and out of control.

On other hand, there doesn't seem to be much open space here for trail riding. Nothing beats New Mexico for that!

Sorry to hear about the stolen bike! When I get home, I'll keep an eye out...

Taken from the house. Kid rode the South Foothills, got home went inside, opened the garage to bring the bike in, no bike.
Was in Moab a couple weeks ago and it made me very nervous seeing all the bikes unattended on cars. Don't like what is happening here, or what is happening to me.
