Would be confined to the magic gear.

One could use a W.I. Eno eccentric hub , an eccentric B.B. or a chain tensioner .

We just went Singleator on a friends Ti 29er and he is Loving it!!! He just got back into riding and asked me what bike he should buy. After a LOT of convincing he bought the 3x10 XO Ti 29er on BikesDirect.com and we made it SS. The 3x10 works better because of the 32t ring and chain line. Making it SS dropped nearly 3lbs. I think I'm going to buy my wife the same bike and use the XO to build up a WFO!!!

I should have clarified by stating, "other than a EBB." But while we are on the subject, is there a truly trouble free EBB?

Does a SS with a singulator have the same feeling at the pedals as a dedicated SS drivetrain?

I ride one bike (not Fly) with Paul's Melvin tensioner. It can also be used to make it into a dinglespeed, without the front derailler.
    Works just fine.

I'd like to see a picture of your friend's Fly Ti SS. I'd convert mine just to try it out, and maybe I'd end up keeping it that way.

Since many of the people I ride with are on single speeds, I've been trying to match and stay in the equivalent gear they pedal. It's made me stronger. I'm already riding 1x9 and I never use the small gears anymore.

Reviving my old thread here. I built up a Fly Team 9r frame and went the ENO wheelset route, been riding it for a year now! Love it, gets lots of attention and is a perfect match to my other Fly team XX bike.
