Should I wait until November for 2011s?

I would ideally love the TI/X0 bike for $2k but since I live in the real world I'm going to have to go for the 29er Fantom for $595. The only problem is the matte black (which looks sick) is sold out in 21" or I'd pull the trigger today. The red just isn't working for me.

So I'm wondering if I should just wait & see what happens when the new stock comes in..any idea if bikesdirect is going to start taking pre-orders or when the bike specs are coming out?

    Thanks!

Well, it sounds like your heart is set on Flat Black, so I don’t know what to tell you… The red isn’t bad, it has a nice anodize look to it. Going from the large photo from their site. I guess it comes down to ride now or later.

As for getting up to date info on BD products, you might want to join their news letter. Large ass photo below!

Nothing major will change going 2010 to 2011, I'd imagine. I believe Shimano and SRAM are only bringing 10 spd to their top 3-4 component groups: SRAM X7, X9, X0, XX and Shimano SLX, XT, XTR.

9spd stuff is much less expensive as well, so if you need to replace worn out or broken parts, you won't be paying $50 or more per component.

You'd only be waiting for cosmetic differences really. Ride now IMO. Not much good riding weather left in the late fall and winter.
