Cool-blue Rhythm Pulled the trigger on a Fly Pro

I've had my Fantom 29 Pro for about 6 months now and I couldn't be happier. Since I'm 6'4", the 29 inch wheels were a good fit for me. I had a positive experience buying a bike online, so when it came time to upgrade my Wife's ride from a hybrid, ( a poor choice for anything more rugged than a rail-trail ), I looked at the offerings of Bikes Direct.

We looked at the various hard tail options and settled on the Fly Pro due to the very light weight. We didn't want to spend more than $1200, so this was the best bang for the buck.

The bike is on it's way and should be in my garage tomorrow. I'm psyched that we will have it in time for the long weekend! I hope I can keep up with her....

I will keep this thread updated as things develop.

    Woohoo!

    Update

The Fly Pro is in and it is SWEET!

Two hours after UPS dropped it off, the bike is fully assembled, adjusted, aired up, lubed and ready to ride. Much less to assemble on this bike than on my 29er. The juicy 7's are much nicer than my juicy 3's. I love the pad adjust on the brake lever.

    I included some pic's:
Still in the carton, UPS was gentle:

Out of carton with all packing material in place:

Packing material removed. This is how much is preassembled.

After I put the rest together...
    The Matte Black rocks!

The pedals are from my Fantom 29er Pro. I put new clipless on that bike. My wife isn't ready for clipless on a mtb yet, though she does have them on her road bike.

I imagine she will want a different saddle...

I'll post another update after we get some time on the trails, but so far - so good.
