    Phantom Elite Weight?

    Does anyone have the Phantom Elite?

    It states "28.5 lbs" on the page you linked to (probably for the 16"). So for $200 more bucks, you can save 6+ lbs by going with the Fly Pro. Guys spend $200 to save 6 ounces. This should be an easy decision.

    thanks for that info, the Fly Pro sure looks like a winner, i will suggest that to my cousin.

    i hear the SID Race is a royal PITA though...

    Yeah, but that some of it may depend on your riding style (how hard and how often you are hitting the trails...and what type of trails). I own two Reba Team forks (2007 and 2008 models) and have had to have each one serviced once thus far (about $60 ea.). I would take the SID big time over the Recon. If you are planning on racing, you would want the SID (and maybe learn to service it yourself, unless money is not an issue).
    Also, there are enough weight weenies out there (like myself) that will trade you their Reba (that likely came stock on their bike) for your SID. I know I would.
