    Need Help Pricing?!

I bought a Fantom Team FS Frame and built it up from just a frame and Rock Shox Monarch 4.2 rear shock. Since finishing it, I have moved to the Gulf Coast where there is nowhere to ride it and would like to buy a Motobecane LeChampion Road Bike. I need help putting a price tag on it, but may keep it who knows.

    Specs:

RockShox Revalation U-Turn Adj Fork 85-130
    RockShox Monarch 4.2 Rear Shock
Mavic Cross Ride Wheels and Hubs
    Panaracer XC Pro Kevlar tires
    SLX Derailleurs F&R
    SLX Shifters
    SLX Cassette 12-34
    SLX HG80 Chain
    Avid Elixir 5 Brakes 160mm
    Bontranger Seat
Selcof extra light Stem, Bars, and Post
Race Face XC Crank w/ RF BB
    Clipless Speed Pedals
    Lock On Grips

The sad truth…it’s hard in a since to determine the true worth of something used. Because, what one (Seller) feels something is worth based on the overall amount they invested doesn’t hold true to a buyers perception of worth based on their lack of investment and their overall desire to purchase something for as little as possible.

I say…total up your investment and nock off 25% to start with and move from there. You might need to go down some more if you’re in a hurry to sell. If you take your time, parting the bike out may get you closer to what you really want tho.

    See what happens. Good luck!

Thats what I thought.. I estimated around $650 to $800 if I find the right buyer. Everything I listed on it has around 100 total miles so they components are basically new. I have around $1150 invested. I may keep it hopeing one day to travel and ride mountain again. I'm not in need of money so no hurry to sell. Thanks for the response I really appreciate your opinion!

That’s an awesome deal for one smart buyer…If the size is right and you haven’t sold it by spring. I’ll look you up.

Where on the Gulf Coast did you move to. We are over here in Mobile and have a few good places to ride.
