Late to the party but...Hal6 content.

The last time I had a full suspension bike, it was a 2011 Trek Fuel Ex8. 120mm travel front and back. Fox suspension. It was OK but wasn't in love with it as much as my hardtail and SS so I sold it.

Bought and built several more bikes, all hard tails or rigids, 650+ and 29+ bikes, none of them full suspension since I was meh on them from the Fuel. Father's Day 2017, I was in a spending mood and pulled the trigger on the Hal6. If you're going to go big, why not 6"? Better to have the travel and not need it than need the travel and not have it.

The good thing about being late to the party is that I didn't have to wait very long at all for them to ship the bike since it was already in stock. I swapped out the stem and bars to a Syntace cockpit. Also swapped the wheels for Stans Arch MK3s. The tires seemed to be more XC oriented so went with some more aggressive Maxxis ones. I think I'm going to ultimately run a High Roller II in the front and keep the Ardent in the rear. Added a dropper bar and XT trail pedals to round it out. Grips and saddle were also swapped out but that's personal preference. Didn't bother putting a water cage on it. Everything else was nicely spec'd so that was it.

Only have two rides on it so far but man, it's a blast! So much smoother and faster than the Fuel. I know they're two completely different bikes but this bike has put my faith back into full suspension. LOL.

Looks great! Is it a Team 11? Glad you like it! I am loving mine more and more with every ride. The really bad rap it gets on the rest of this site is not deserved...

Nice bike. I was a former specialized snob. ha ha. I still have my rockhopper, but my garage is being filled with motos now. Why? You really are paying a premium for the names. MB are awesome bikes, and great for my useage. I save enough that I can buy 3 or 4 bikes for the price of one!
