Did I get a decent deal on 2008 Fly Team?

Just bought my first bike in many years. Was looking at the bikesdirect models.

    came across this
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=150326593473
    and bought it.

Did I come out OK for $1100? I noticed there are a few differences from the 2009 model. I read the brakes can be problematic. Should I look into changing these? how about everything else?

    Thanks!

That is kind of funny. It is a 2008 Fly Team frame, but it is set up with the 2008 Fly 9357 components (Ritchey Pro cockpit, Juicy Carbons, FSA afterburner). The Fly Team and 9357 frames are the same, but with different paint and graphics. Anyways it basically is a 2008 Fly 9357. Last April I bought one for $1200. So I would say that you did get a deal, in the sense that any Motobecane is a great deal, but nothing too amazing. The Juicy carbons are a good brake set, I like them a lot. The only part that I replaced was the fork. The 2008 SID is kind of flexy and weak, not very plush and does not have a lockout. The new 2009 SID is 100% better.

    Thank you for the reply.

That is very concerning to me that a new Fly Team would have 4397 parts on it. I don't wish to purchase a stolen bike. Can anyone think of a reasonable explination?

Do you have a list of what a 2008 4397 would have come with from the factory?

It appears the bike's already been shipped. I will likely take this up with the seller.

I really doubt it is stolen. It is most likely a new bike that for some reason was fitted with the 9357 parts instead of Team parts. Perhaps a Team frame was mistakenly fitted with 9357 parts at the factory. The parts that should be on the bikes are as follows

Team- Ritchey WCS components, Juicy Ultimate Brakes, XTR derailleurs and shifters, and FSA carbon cranks.

9357- Ritchey Pro components, Juicy Carbon Brakes, XTR rear derailleur, XT shifters and front derailleur and FSA afterburner cranks.
