2011 FLy 29er Team Ti XO Bikes

Looks like the XO Bikes (both 20 and 30 speeds) are listed on BikesDirect for Sept 15 (prices go up $100 then) delivery. Get in line behind me or do I wait for the FS 29er.

No $200 deposit for preorder? The whole amount up front? I'd like to know if bikesdirect will bill the card at time of purchase or wait til the bike is shipped. Anyone know for sure???

If a 29er squishy is something you been dreaming about. Hold off. If not, and you just want to thrash those trails...get while the gettin's good.

Life is hard, having to make choices like that. Lol!

I received a response from bikesdirect and was told you'll be charged the full amount at time of purchase.

Kinda disappointing that they again don't have sram cranks. Those fsa cranks look so cheesy. No matter, I already have one anyway.

All bike companies skimp on the cranks. I hate seeing full XT bikes with deore cranks. FSA must really discount their cranks for OEMs because I am starting to see them turn up on a lot more bikes than I used to.

The world we live in today, when a crank-set of $680 is considered skimping. Too Funny!

P.S. this was the lowest price i could find. I realize this is retail and just a sale price. However, if you wanted them, that's the lowest price you would need pay. That's more then some peoples entire bike.

You are looking at the wrong crankset. The X0 bikes come with FSA Afterburner http://bikeisland.com/cgi-bin/BKTK_S...ls&ProdID=1771. I have a set of these, and I can tell you that it is skimping, because they aren't that great, no where near as good as SRAM X0 cranks http://www.sram.com/truvativ/product...speed-crankset. The XX bikes come with the $680 carbon K Force crankset.

I'm looking at the wrong bike, because the only Ti 29rs listed are the XX and XTR. Those XO links posted above, aren't on their site yet. Only the 26er's XO's are.

Looking around a bit more, they are located on their site…just, not the page you would think. However, it’s easy to access.

As for $200 crankset on a $2000 bike considered, skimping?…I say, it just being cost effective and realistic. As skimping implies "Cheap" and they still cost more then XT 770 cranks.

    One man's gold, is another man’s silver…

P.S. All i see is gold. LOL!
