Ohhh, very pretty. I'm building mine up also. I'm also using V-brakes and want all black rims. What kind of rims are yours? Thanks.

nice bike, a nice tribute to the late 90s. what made you decide to hang all of those expensive bits off of this particular frame? has to be some sentimental reasons, right?

    Nice!

I used to have a very similar build on a '99 that I just sold this year.

    Have a final weight?

    19.5lbs final weight

Still need to put on the selleitalia SLR carbonio, and the crank brothers 4ti pedals!

I did this because schwinn hasn't had too many recent nice mountain bikes... So I have a few bare limited frames and I picked the coolest of the colors and just went all out.

Senitment always plays a part in building a bike. However, once one has made the decisions to go the light hardtail route, the Homegrown Limited is one of the best hardtail frames every produced. Here's my sentimental build:

This frame is amazing!! Remindes me of when Steve Larsen raced for Schwinn. Also Tim Gould or something like that...!!!

It's a must have frame for any collection!!!

    Greeting from Portugal.

    Cheers!
