    Fork upgrade

I've been rebuilding my old '98 Mongoose DX 5.3 lately, I really like this bike, freed up the derailers, new shifter cables, lubed brake cables, cool-stop dual compound brake pads, velociraptor tires and new grips, however the rock shox indy s never was a good fork. Short 48mm compression, only one side had adjustments, the elastomer was not good at all and there was no rebound control.

Can anyone recommend a good replacement? Ido most easy trails but occasionally we'll hit the technical single track. I'm thinking the RS 30 silver TK or Manitou Markhor looks good but they are twice the travel.

Another question, will offset be a problem? The indy s doesn't have any and most I see have some now days.

    Thank you.
