    WORS Category

Hello, I am going to do my first WORS race, second race altogether, this weekend. I am trying to decide what the best category is for me to compete in. I train around 8 hours a week but not hardcore committed to the plan, I actually just stopped altogether for about the past two weeks because I got sick of it. The other race I did was with UW-Milwaukee in the fall and I didnt even finish it.( 2....9 mile laps).

Cat 3, Citizen should suit you well. 9 miles total for that class.
Cat 2, Sport is also in your ability at 15 miles, but it is more competitive than Citizen.

I'd go citizen class, have fun!!!!

I second starting at Citizen if you have not a lot of racing under your belt. No amount of training will prepare you for race speed.
