Just wondering what Christian is going to be riding sat for Cheq 40. Does Cervelo still make the M1?

I dunno, I probably won't be anywhere near him when the gun goes off. Love to see him get beat by a local hero though

I pinged him on Twitter but no response. I heard he does not ride MTB much at all. Given that it may be dry, it will be fast and not much technical skill needed.

A Felt isn't surprising considering what he rode prior to this year. Thanks for the info.

Yeah and he was riding in road shoes. check out the pics on skinnyski.com

He had to run up the second to last portion of Firetower and the pic shows road pedals. I heard he was in the lead and with a mile to go when he flated. Props to Matter. Sweet riding.

    Race was awesome as usual.

Christian is from Lemont, IL which is very close to the Palos trails in the SW suburbs of Chicago and he rides there occasionally. I'm not sure how often with his road training. His Dad also rides there. He was also a Great Road rider back in the day and can still push it on the trails. Christian, his Dad and some others came and talked and hobknobbed at a CAMBR fund raiser and he seemed like a very cool guy and very supportive of Mountain biking.
    Saddle up, Effendi. We ride.

To let you know how much he knows about mountain biking, he had no clue if he was running tubes or tubeless, or what burping meant.
