    Twin Cities Area Trails

Looking for a ranking of four major trail systems in the Minneapolis St. Paul area. Please rank them in order of your favorites. If you can add a short reason why that would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    Lebanon Hills
    Theodore Wirth
    Murphy Hanrehan
    River Bottoms

    1) Lebanon Hills - better if you ride the black and red trails but still pretty fun.

    2) Theodore Wirth - Something for everyone. Short loops make for fun laps. North Loop is great for old school XC. Southwest Wirth has best flow in town. Brownie will challenge your skills.

    3) Murphy Hanrehan - Fun, raw trail riding with great optional lines. Ride the black trail, it's really a blue trail.

    4) Elm Creek - Ride fast, ride hard. Real XC loop with the best milage in town.

I haven't ridden the Murph. My ranking would be:
    1. Lebanon Hills
    2. Carver Lake
    3. Theo Wirth
But those 3 are definitely interchangeable as well. And Theo Wirth is special due to it's location in the city limits.

Going to piggy back on this post. Are there any trail centers that have bike rentals? It looked like there was a shop near Lebanon Hills that had rentals but not sure how close it is.

Visiting St. Paul for work for the next few days and if I can get done in time I would love to get in a ride. Didnít bring my gear and the rental car is small so I need to find a location where I can rent what I need.

    1.) Carver
    2.) Battle Creek
    3.) Leb

I'm biased because those are the trails closest to me (Woodbury) in that order

Pretty sure I can ride carver blindfolded at this point.

Would like to check out Welch Village someday.
