    Sheboygan area early morning rides?

Any one out there interested in doing some early morning rides? I get out of work around 3 or 4 in the morning and that's about the only time I have for riding. I ride by myself but it would be more fun with a few other people.

I was starting to think I was alone with my crazy riding time. What days work for you?

I work nights and I watch my little girl during the day so if I don't ride after work I don't trail ride. I take her out in the burly but its just not the same.

when i was a helicopter crew chief i always thought the most difficult thing was flying night into day, but i also thought that it was the one of the most enjoyable was to start the day, or end it depending on what shift i was on. The reason i thought it was difficult was the adjustment that needed to be made visually adjusting to daylight.

How do you feel about riding that early in the morning? does it change the experience at all?

I only know from very early morning rides, and getting the daylight lap a couple of years at the 12 hour Pitch Black SingleTrack WEMS race. I think the daylight lap is the best thing going. Seeing the trail change from all dark, to start seeing greys, to deep purples, to colors coming out as the sun starts showing is one of the cooler things I have experienced on a bike. Seeing the dew turn to silver as the dark ribbon of trail flows through the tall prairie is very cool, and then to start seeing the green colors and the prairie flowers in bloom.
Though I have to say, the middle of the night Pitch Black laps when the moon is out can be very cool as well: The dew on the plants is almost iridescent with the headlights, and the only thing not shining back at you is the ribbon of dirt that is your trail to a tent with a warm fire, blanket and a cold brew waiting. Man, only five weeks 'til we get to do it again this year. I can't wait.

I like riding this time of the day everything is still quiet its just you and the deer and other animals on the trail its very enjoyable. Starting a ride in the dark and ending it in the day light is one of the best rides.
