    The Rock Franklin?

Travailing down there in a couple of weeks and thinking about taking my bike and just wondering what the trails are like after the revamping?

It depends what you are looking for. I was there in early July, so I don't know if anything has changed since then, but basically they had removed all the wooden features except for one big wall ride and a roller section. The natural-surfaced downhill jump lines were still in tact. As far as XC goes, it basically is what it was when the rock was running, but you now have a couple more options of getting back up the hill (using the old feature trails).
So It's not like they really did a conversion to XC, they just closed the lift and removed the wooden features. The may have done more since I rode it though.
It is fun though. For XC, Alpha trail gets better every year. I've been riding there since it was new but I only get out there once or twice a year, so I always notice the improvements.
I've been updating information on my site when I go out there

The Alpha is in good shape, and is maintained by the local IMBA chapter.

The Rock trails are not maintained any longer, and are starting to get over grown. They are also building their haunted house structures and have blocked/ bulldozed some parts of the trails. Some can be ridden around, others can not. Its a shame because part of their best single track is now blocked by those structures. Biking is definitely not on their radar anymore, so I would enjoy the trails while you can.
