New to fat biking where to ride in MN

I just got into fatbiking this spring and am looking to try some winter riding. I live about an hour north of the twin cities. I am looking for some groomed trails not necessarily single track just some trails to practice on and get some winter exercise

Hi, you should consider heading to Duluth for some nice groomed trail riding. Check out coggs.com for trail maps and current conditions.

Duluth, Cuyuna or metro singletrack. There are a couple of groomed multi-use trails in metro, but not much. Best bet is groomed singletrack.

Lots of places to ride in Minnesota!

Check out MORC's site for trail info and community forums like this one: MORC

Rochester grooms both Gamehaven and Eastwood MTB trails. (at Eastwood: try to stay off the XC ski trail - also groomed)

Since you mentioned being an hour north of the cities -

I live about 10 minutes away from the Rum River State Forest. It is just east of 169 between Milaca and Onamia. There are a number of roads through the state land, and they are not plowed, but do get some traffic. Sometimes after a snowfall I am the first tracks. Though it is not "groomed" it is good exercise. Also there are hiking trails if you want to venture off the roads.
