National trails Day at the Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest - Southern Unit - John Muir Trail

We re-routed the spot where, the old connector, used to split off from the blue loop, all the way up to the beginning of 'Hell's Kitchen' near the base of the old 'hundred dollar hill' and then we met back up at the pavilion , where Mike from the Lagrange General Store provided us lunch and libations....then we got to ride a bit, before the rains hit.

Hayes Bicycle Group provided a 26" and 29" Manitou Suspension forks along with lots of other goodies that we awarded by drawing, like we've done at every work day this season to the folks that come out and volunteer. This was our last official Trail work day of the year, but I know we'll be having some special work events to make sure that the WEMS - 12 Hours at John Muir and the Fall Color Fest have everything buff and ready to race, so stay tuned for trail updates on FaceBook or

Mark Your Calendars for these two great events

12 Hours at John Muir - June 19th

Fall Color Festival - September 25th

    Way to go

It is absolutely fantastic to see so many volunteers to help do your trail work.
