    There's lots of riding

Riding is kind of slow now since the trails haven't frozen yet. too much thaw in the afternoon leads to trail destruction.

If you are looking for a ride, post up at morcmtb.org. There might be a ride at Wirth on Tues 12/14.

man...I do it..but it takes some encouragement. If you're looking to ride some frosty day at the river bottoms or something (Which I have yet to do but talk about it all of the time) let me know.

sure, ride all through the winter. i assume your are in the Twin Cities? river bottoms and wirth park are the usual destinations; i'd like to ride milaca if the snow holds off for a while.

email me if you ever want to ride: [email protected]. motivation is a little harder this time of year, but you'll help with that.

    cheers

    Turtle River

I go to school in the Fargo/Moorhead area, and I was wondering how close Turtle River is? I usually ride at Gooseberry Park on the Fargo side...very lame riding.

Now that the river bottom trails are froze, the night riding has been fantastic. Temps have been reasonable (excluding last week), we have virtually no snow and 9 mile creek is solid enough to cross without fear of going through the ice.

If you ride it on the weekend, you're almost sure to see a number of other riders.
    Cheers

Uh, you know its closed, right? I don't care if its frozen. The parks people have it closed for the season. If you keep going there, you'll be part of a problem that will get the place shut down. THAT would suck more than not riding in cold weather.

    Ride on Saturday (1/8)

There'll be a few folks riding Salem Hills park in Inver Grove Heights this Saturday (1/8) at 2:30 PM if anyone is interested. Looks like it'll be good conditions for a ride!

If you want to know the latest on the Metro trails, conditions , open group rides go to www.morcmtb.org.

Leb is not open now. Please read the following thread on MORC and don't mess it up for the rest of us by riding a closed trail.
