    Midwest trail work rant.

When I pass out our bike club's literature to shops, stores, park offices and users it's just amazing to compare the number of complaints I hear about lack of trails, length of trails and/or not liking the trails against the number of who show up to work on them or join the club to help on related issues.

It's just crazy to think about the hundreds or maybe thousands of riders in the Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago areas who want more, and then see work days where so few show up to help with the progress.

Please consider doing trail work while we're early in the season. Just a small increase in volunteers will mean a huge increase in the amount of trail you can ride by July and for years after.

You're so right. People in general, myself included in many ways, are so selfish and negative. I've lately been quick to judge others in a negative light... then I catch myself doing something that puts me in their camp.

If we all do just a little something positive for others... then somthing positive will befall us all and as a society we might not be so negative and hateful and judgemental. *sigh* I sound like a hippie.

I promise to do some trail work this year.
