UW Platteville has a DH race in mid-late April. Here's last year's flyer...UW-P DH Races
I've done the XC both years and have seen the DH course. All I can say is "wow!"
Authorities speculate that speed may have been a factor. They are also holding gravity and inertia for questioning.

is UW Platteville putting on a DH race this year? I went to the first one and had a blast but I missed last years and I heard it was better than the first year. Any info would be appreciated.

I went to SickLines.com and they have some helmet vids of a couple of the closer courses. I will have try to hit Mt Boyne and Mohican along with Platteville and Peoria.

    Platteville Time Trials 08

Can't speak for the club as I just graduated from UWP in May but I was the Race Director for the last 2 years. I think they are planing it for the 19th and 20th of April. Everyone just got back to school so they should have something posted on the race soon.

On a side note I am the new race director for the Blockhouse roll here in Platteville which is held in the Fall. I am working on getting the weekend schedule finalized but the dates will be the 4th and 5th of October. This years calender actually really worked in our favor for this one because we always conflicted with fall color fest in the past. This year fall color is the week before blockhouse and the sheboygan wors race is the week after.
Oh and look for this one to be a blast I am working on some things to make this event one of the best in the midwest.

And on a super side note if you want to see something crazy go to http://savedbythebike.blogspot.com/

I think they have two or three DH and MTX races each year.

I met the kid that built the Boyne course at Ray's. He said that it is a nice course.
