New question here. HELP- WI rides out of Chi-Town

Looking to ride when I'm in Chicago for a couple days. Going to be camping in southern WI for 2 nights. Where are the best places to ride? Done S. Kettle back in the day. Anything better? Good places to camp? Backcountry options?

    I need beta!!!

The Kettle is still good, especially the connector trail. Palos and Peoria, Peoria especially, are hella far from So Wis, but still an option me supposes. the cambr.org links page has a bunch of stuff you'd find helpful.

New question here. Thanks! Anyone else?

Thanks for the input. I belive we'll be around Kettle mostly. Sounds like WI has been getting quite a bit of rain. Good times.

Any other suggestions for southern WI biking/camping for the Memorial Day weekend? I leave Colorado for the mountain bike mecca of southern WI in 3 days!

If you're close to the Kettle, you are about 2 hours from Palos which is probably still a mudfest but I can't confirm. If you go north to Wausau, WI, there are some great trails up there but I'm not sure how far that would be from where you are. 2-3 hours probably. Read the "favorite midwest trail" thread and you'll see a number of people recommending the 9 Mile trail system up in Wausau (it is quite good).
