I used to live a few blocks away from Hartley. I have so many fond memories of the rides there. It's make me nostalgic to see this thread. Take good care of the trails, I will be back this summer for a few days and will head up to Giants Ridge to ride the Silver Trail with John (guy who runs the activities there)

you might not recognize alot of the hartley trail. we've built boardwalk to span the constantly muddy spots, rerouted the trail off private property and swamp areas. have fun riding hartley, maybe i'll see you out there. i haven't been to g-r in years. not much if any singletrack up there.

Not a lot of single track near biwabik but I often travel up there for other reasons. The silver trail is double track but what is fun about it is that it is up and down and up and down the whole way. I used to do the labor day weekend races up there, one of my favorite events.

I am out of the country for the last fifteen months but will probably be back in July, hopefully I will get back to Duluth and the shore at that time.

Seems like we got an early start up north with the dry weather and wind.

Hey there how are you guys doing, I'm up in Ely, I have been doing the Bass Lake loop
And the North Arm by the BWCA, the riding has been great.

Pinguwin, I have skied the Silver Trail and your right that would be a good ride on the bike.
Mtnbykr I might have to come down there and try your trails out soon! good job!
