    HALP! Stop the pavement people.

Fellow bikers - they're trying to destroy the natural area we like to ride by clear cutting a huge easement and installing a paved trail running along the multi-use singletrack trail we love to bike on. The current trail is used by hikers and bird watchers but maintained by the mountain bikers. We need your help to stop the pavement people.

Please sign this quickie. Just need some more sigs. Thanks!!

what use are the signatures of people who don't live near the trail and will likely never see it, and don't pay taxes in the area where the trail is? you need to get LOCALS to sign that or it's worthless.

I know you guys travel with your bikes. If you ever find yourself in Minnesota, this is a great trail to check out! I travel a lot with my mountain bike so i'm always interested in other peoples causes.

4000 of the sigs are local, ALSO. Just trying to up our numbers.

So they want to add a paved trail but how does that impact the current trail? There is plenty of room for both down there (I live at the top on the old cedar end).

They've been talking about this for years and it seems dumb to put something like that in as it floods on a regular basis. The upside I see is getting an actual maintained bridge crossing for 9 Mile.
