New question here. Fat biking at Ski Resorts

Does anyone know of any "ski resorts" which (during the winter) groom their trails for fat biking? We live in IL and would like to plan a winter trip. I don't ski or snowboard; so I am not all that familiar with the resorts.

My apologies on the cross post--this is also in the Midwest forum.

Most of the clubs groom their trails for winter riding. Duluth, Cuyuna, etc.

Spirit Mountain has lift service with fat bikes allowed on all trails and ski runs.

Not one resort but not far from your IL location. 4 of the Madison area trails have groomers. Visit www.madcitydirt.com for conditions when the season gets here. You can pedal to trailhead if you stay in Middleton. Blackhawk Ski Club membership is a must to ride Pleasant View and Blackhawk together. Memberships start at $25. Blue Mound is amazing in winter so let's hope for a good snow year.

Are you looking for a place for the boys to snowboard while you and Mrs. Binge ride?

My home hill wouldn’t be called a “resort” but about half our MTB loop stays open for fat biking. The rest cross the ski trails so they are off limits during ski season.

Nordic Mountain is the hill, willow creek are the trails that stay open.

I’ll check into a couple other possible options. How far do you want to drive?

Still have my number? You can also text me. Starts with a 215 area code...

The Madison trails might be a good option. Cascade and Devils Head are not too far from Mad town.

Tyrol Basin ski/board area is in Mt. Horeb Wi. about 20 minutes west of Madison and very close to Blue Mounds. Ideal for the ski/bike combo.

Spirit Mountain does lift-accessed fat biking on Sundays starting in January.

Also, they have the Frosted Fatty happening this weekend if you are in the area. Tons of fat bike racing through different disciplines.
