    FAQ for Wisconsin & Minnesota

This FAQ is a work in progress. Please help to improve it as it needs updated to better reflect MN & WI.

New: Combining the Events and FAQ posts here - What events are coming up? Take a look HERE.

Discussions of illegal trail riding WILL BE LOCKED! Trail access opponents do 'research' mountain bike forums and will selectively pick to further their cause. Please do not give them any extra fodder.

Please use the FAQ to find your local trail group(s) and see what they can do to help you find alternate riding areas or to get those areas legal. They will also have better local knowledge of any trail access situation. Savvy?

For all workdays, events, and rides PLEASE make note of the state in the details of the event. Thank you!

Where can I ride? What Advocacy sites are there for MN/WI Often these sites are one and the same, and also the best place to start being involved!

There are a bunch of regional sites that will have tips and locations on where to ride.

I believe that would be Olympic. We ordered from them a fair bit because we got 1 day UPS, vs. 2 day from Quality, despite the fact that Quality is geographically closer to Ashland.

Just wanted to mention the madcitydirt website is really taking off. The forum is quite active and has current trial conditions for the Madison Wisconsin area. The threads are updated by local riders. Hit us up for the latest trail info for Dane County or Madison riding info. Lots of new stuff going on.

I'd like to add another regional website to the mix:

Are there any shops in the Twin Cities area (or within 30 minutes drive) where someone could rent a bike and ride from the shop to a trail? We are going to be in town for the marathon and I'm not confident about the size of whatever economy size rental car we will end up with.
