Enduro Race

Recommended for experienced riders, this race features three timed downhill stages on trails throughout the Spirit Mountain trail system. The race will last 3-4 hours and will climb and descend Spirit Mountain three times, all on different trails, from new school flow to old school gnar.

Course map will be released August 9.

Registration – 7:30-8:30am

Cost – $40 before August 1, $50 August 1-race day (includes ticket for a free beer or soda at the Party in Chester Bowl Saturday night).

Downhill Race

Run on Spirit Mountain’s most advanced trail ‘Calculated Risk’ (a double-black-diamond trail), the downhill race is for experienced riders only. A full-face helmet is required.

Registration – 7:30am-12pm
Race – 2-4pm

Cost – $40 before August 1, $50 August 1-race day (includes ticket for a free beer or soda at the Party in the Bowl Saturday night).
Note: Racers will need to buy a $10 reduced lift pass the day of the event.

Party in Chester Bowl

5pm – 10pm
Located at Chester Bowl, this celebration will feature food, a beer tent, music, loads of family-friendly, bike-related activities and an awards ceremony. Kids events are free. All other events are $5, with registration on site. map Map it

5:30pm – Bike decorating for kids bike parade (decorations provided)
6:00pm – Kids bike parade
6:15pm – Speed trials competition
A minimally difficult trials course featuring man-made features, such as skinnies and other obstacles to negotiate.
6:30pm – Kids bike races
Very short races with no technical features or hills to climb or descend.
6:15-7:30pm – Klunker bike toss
Contestants throw an old, heavy bike as far as they can.
7pm – Bike limbo
Just like at the beach! Bikers contort their bodies while riding their bike to get as low as they can to pass underneath the bar.
7pm – Music from The Boomchucks
7:30pm – Strider relay races
Bikers ride children’s strider bikes around a course.
8:15pm – Awards
8:45pm – Music from The Boomchucks

Part of the Minnesota Mountain Bike Series.
9am – Kids Comp XC Race (kids 14 and under with some experience)
9:30am – Citizen XC Race (beginner to intermediate riders, lasts 45-60 minutes)
11am – Sport XC Race (intermediate riders, lasts 60-75 minutes)
12:45pm – Shimano Kids Race (free, kids 6 and under)
1:15pm – Expert, Pro and Comp XC Race (advanced, super-fit riders, lasts 90-150 minutes)
4pm – Awards
