2011 Midwest Mountain Bike Festival: June 24-26

Friends of Off-Road Cycling (FORC) in the Quad Cities will be hosting the Midwest Mountain Bike Festival on June 24-26, 2011. The Festival home will be Scott County Park, just north of Davenport, IA - one of four local trail systems we'll be riding all weekend. Friday will be Advocacy Day with IMBA; Saturday and Sunday will be a celebration of riding, camaraderie, games, brews and more.

We'll soon be adding more detail to www.Midwestmtbfest.com but for now, save the date.

    Hope to see you there!

Scott County Park has 10 miles of singletrack. We'll also be riding at Sunderbruch Park in Davenport, IA (5 1/2 miles), Illiniwek Park in Hampton, IL (5 miles), and Sylvan Island in Moline, IL (3 1/2 miles).

We might also consider a trip west to Sugar Bottom near Iowa City (12 miles of singletrack) but the majority of riding will be in the QC area.

We'll have the event website up and going soon where a full list of info will be available.

It's cool that you're having this. But it sucks that you have it on the same weekend as the Subaru Cup in Mt Morris, WI. Since this event was recently upgraded by USA Cycling, I think it's gonna draw people from all over the country. In years past it has drawn from all over the widwest.I for one will be at the subaru cup
