I didn't even realize that there was a Midwest Forum.

As far as they're concerned, if you read the forum title, Missouri doesn't even qualify as being in the midwest.

I noticed that. Perhaps they're no longer states?

The Midwest Summit sounds like a good excuse for a road trip. Of course, I don't know anyone else going (from Springfield, MO) and my son doesn't think he can get off work. Heck, since I'm between contracts I might have to go on the cheap and lay these tired old bones in a campground for the night.

Maybe I'll get myself motivated enough to get up there. Sounds like fun.

I misread that for a second there I thought you said "bring down a few mtbrs OFF the summit. I nearly got beamed by an SUV today biking outside ( first 40 degree day! yay) so I am kinda in a 'us vs. them' mood.

I've made tentative arrangements for accomodations and I'll definitely be at the summit. It sounds like a blast! There's a small chance I'll be camping (probably not), so I'd also be interested in what kind of camping facilities are in the area, just in case.

See ya'll there! Just look for the fat guy on the old, purple and mud colored Trek hardtail.

There's free camping right at the summit. I'm not familiar with the type of facilities that will be available, but I doubt there will be showers or steam room. I'm the old guy on a Matt Chester, come on by and say howdy.
