Brown County, Hoosier National Forest, Shawnee National Forest - Weekend

Semi-recently moved to Western Kentucky and actually have the time to drive a bit & ride this weekend. Originally I was hoping to make a trip (and even maybe some camping) up to Brown County, Hoosier or Shawnee National Forest for the first time. Drive is about 3 1/2 hours to Brown, about 2 1/4 to either Hoosier or Shawnee.

Weather been a little rainy down here and rain is expected tomorrow. Trying to look at weather in that area and seems like maybe rain tomorrow night but Saturday might be ok.

Would any of these trails be worth trying to go to this weekend, or is weather most likely going put an end to that. Thanks

I was at Brown Co State Park today. Even though we had an inch of rain two days ago, the trails are dry and in excellent condition and able to withstand short or light rains.

Thank you for the information. I think I'm going to go for Brown County. I've read good things. Plus moving from Colorado, I've been looking for a place with a little more miles

Most of the riding in Kentucky is at city parks. There are multiple parks in Louisville so you could get some mileage and there's riding at Laurel River Lake and Cave Run has old school trails, but you would need a local. I haven't gotten a chance to ride Land Between the Lakes yet.
