converting leaky sc 32 from Air to coil / oil

I have a leaky sc 32 on my fat back bike. the air tube is leaking, tried new orings, just wont hold air. I am contemplating trying to convert this to a coil/oil for, (like an old marzocchi) any thoughts or ideas on this.

You may have a cracked air tube, worn stanchion, cracked air fill valve body.
