    Winning !!!! Llf.

Last night during the Burlington town meting, they voted to change the status of the land locked Forest from industrial to open space. Such good news. Not quite as good as conservation designation, but great progress.

That is great news. I lived in Burlington when the actual land taking by eminent domain happened and I thought that it was put into conservation land back then to protect vernal pools and town water supply. Guess I was wrong. Thanks to all the nemba volunteers and Friends of the Landlocked for their work there. Great trail system for such a small area and close to a large MTB population.

NICE!!!! Does that mean we can now officially report the monkeys who have been cutting trees at knee height and destroying the trails?

How would you go about that? GB Nemba is aware of the situation. Frustrating to spend 1/2 a day fixing stuff instead of real trail work. Post signs, cameras? Sticky wicket at best.

    Very cool!

Open Space is most likely preferable to Conservation designation as far as recreational access goes.
