    Vietnam

still have yet to get over there...I've got a full day off - where is the best place to start for a newbie? (new to those trails - am well versed in technical terrain places).

what trails/loop is best to hit?

Best to go with a guide. Post up over on the NEMBA boards and I'm sure you'll find someone willing to show you around. It's always best to have someone there to drag you out/call 911 etc.

Yeah, you'll want a guide. It's easy to find the 2 "built" trails but getting through the woods can be pretty confusing. I've always gone blind and it can get kind of frustrating picking your way.

There is very little under the power lines (little Moab). The rest of the 20+ miles of trail is in the woods and tough to figure out.

Check out this site and explore the gps tracks.
