I think it your local trails are down to mostly dirt, it's time to hang up the fat tires for skinny ones.

I sure hope so. I was riding dirt a month ago. Looks to be another two weeks before that'll happen again.

Studs are only needed for ice. Those days are behind us. Wet snow? Nothing!

actually, studs still help on compressed wet snow vs bare knobs. the stud is still harder than rubber and punches into the snow better. yes not technically 'required' but I find it still climbs

anyhow WU is saying 5 to 8 inches Friday ??? WTF is this for real ?

All clear in the Boston area after the recent rains. Wet though so avoid the trouble spots. Not too worried about the upcoming snow. Always ride-able dirt to find in MA.

Definitely not what I'm seeing in Bedford/Chelmsford/Westford. Anything with tree cover still has snow and the dirt is fully saturated mud with a rainy weekend in the forecast. I'd say we're at least a week of sun/wind/50f weather away from riding.

8hrs last week. pukwudgie is on this Sunday if you like a quick beatdown. my private stash was moist today, but since I'm the only person riding out there, I don't care. it's not gonna rut up anyways.

I think you should be ok to remove the studded tires safely within the next 4-6 weeks.
