    Road climbs, trail descents

    Training.
Can we build a list of road/dirt road ascents, trail descents possibly for intervals.
for example Great Blue Hill in Canton, Ma. road to observation tower is approx .6 mile and 320' vertical (Strava).
Can we add others like Watatic or Ascutney?
    Thanks for looking and helping.

Charlemont. Riddell Road to Red Zone. East Hawley Road go East Road to Billy World. Warfield Road to Connector to West Side. About 700 vertical Riddell and Warfield, 1000 vertical East Hawley.

While this is no attempt to be helpful, I get the point.
When plotting a course, I prefer a steadier grade to climb. I would include dirt roads in this discussion. Much of the Vermont 50 miler is graded ascents of various surfaces and single track descents. I am looking for various sites to get some work in for this race. Thanks a million.

Mt Agamenticus best place to hill repeat anywhere
    (of course there are others)

close to Maine turnpike southern toll gates,
easy in and out of Maine from I95

from bottom of the yellow gate across the street, to top of aggie up the pavement about .7 miles and 491 feet. some of it nice and stiff 22% grade

the stuff from the pond up to the road is steep gravel road, then a short road hop, then the paved climb to top of aggie. it haz what YOU need...

and tons of trails go up and down that hill also. A#1 MTB training.

up pavement/down bony arse trails, up pavement, repeat till the cows come home

    Wendell State Forest:

Climb: Damon camp rd from davis rd and descend: Hannah swarth or mormon hollow or lookouts.

climb: jerusalem rd: descend lookouts or 13$ trail to sophies run

climb: Saxon bridge rd ride down NipmucK, repeat.,,,this is the best one.

oH yeah, mount toby is close to perfect….except the descent is way above category for xc racing. But the climb done as a repeat is great for cold killing it in the VT 50.
