    Riding Robert Frost Trail

Can anyone provide information one what sections of the Robert Frost Trail are rideable? I'm thinking of trying to ride a big chunk of it, but I can't find what's open to bikes and what's not. Thanks all!

It runs from Route 47, near the Connecticut, east through the Holyokes, and then north near Leverett and Montague until it ends in Wendell State Forest. Not sure if it ridden much, but thought I'd throw something out there.

I used to ride the section at Amethyst Brook if I didn't feel like going to B-street or Earls. This was about 6 years ago though, haven't been back since I graduated.

There are a lot of good sections to ride. The best section is the final section between Wendell State Forest and the West Chestnut Hill Rd. I prefer riding from the Top of Dry Hill RD in Wendell and heading up then down to west chestnut hill rd in levered. You'll need to bypass the ledge climbing area and take the double track up or down depending on which way you are heading.

The section that begins on Bull Hill RD south of Mt Toby is mostly rideable, and very, very challenging, though about midway you'll hit some little known, world class c=single track, the north side of Toby RF is all rideable and pretty good as well.

The chunk through Amethyst is pretty ok as well.

In the greater Wendell/ leverett area the Robert Frost links well with a big loop using the M&M and the Wendell SF trails.

    Hope that helps
