    Rides south of Boston?

Might be heading to Boston tomorrow. I'll be sharing a ride with a friend who has to work in Framingham most of the day, so I'm thinking about finding a ride someplace close-ish, and then picking her up after work. I don't know the area, and would rather avoid getting snarled in rush hour traffic, so Lynn Woods, etc, are unfortunately out. Is Blue Hills any good? Any other options?

How about Callahan State Park in Framingham.

From what I've heard BH isn't as good as it was since they closed many of the s/t trails to mtb's years ago. You could still get in a good ride though, mostly on doubletrack. Colors should be good too. If you park at the Houghton's Pond lot I'm pretty sure maps are available there.

Another possibility is The Fells in Medford. It's a little NW of the city.

Yeah, Wompy was awesome. The jumps and log rides were a nice change of pace...we don't have much of that kind of stuff out here (that I know about, anyway).

Riding conditions in W Mass ought to be primo this weekend. Right now the leaf cover on the ground is pretty thick, but hopefully it will all get dry and packed down before the next big rain.
