Please Sign & Share Petition for Sensible Trail Access in Our Area

As of now we have over 400 signatures to our petition asking the state to support fact-based access rules for thousands of acres of open space laced with over 35 miles of trails in the middle of our state. These trails have been used for decades by mountain bikers, hikers, and equestrians but now are closed with countless signs and state cut trees everywhere, hidden cameras installed, and tickets being written--all without a shred of evidence that passive recreation causes a true impact.

It's easy and showing a wide base of support is important. If you have any issues, please open the link in your browser's private or incognito mode and sign it there.

    Thank you!
    Brett

Done. Thanks for doing this Brett! Hopefully everyone who reads this post takes 1 minute of their time to sign the petition. Only 16 signatures to go!

    Thanks Mike!

change.org has our next goal as 500, I think we'll end up with over 1,000 by the time we're done. It's great to see so much support for getting outdoors! As everyone here knows, it really is the cure.

So with the national exposure, have you seen any change in stance from the DCR? I see snowmobiles ripping through those areas with each snowfall... I'm not trying to create friction between the varying recreational enthusiasts, but how is it that motorized devices with spiked tracks can access but not bikes. Would seem snowmobiles would be a more likely cause for their big $$$ filtration system than some chipped paint off my frame. Baffling...
