    Nantucket lodging advice

Looking to do a little touring on my cx bike this summer in nantucket, and trying to find some nice low cost places to stay. My wife and I will just be on bikes, no car, and carrying everything.

I know nantucket in the summer is crazy expensive, but we're looking to do this on the low cost end. Any suggestions on decent places to stay?

Hoping to keep it at $200/night. Most of what I've seen is over $400/night.

    Thanks for any advice

Well I'm from Cape and I can certainly say I had a blast over there on my cx this summer. The trails were tame enough that I had no problem cruising around them. As for accommodations, I stayed at the hostel. Which is beyond amazing for Nantucket in the summer. Very cheap, an old lifesaving station, and literally a hop, skip and a jump from the beach.

It's my understanding that the Roberts House is the most affordable downtown and out of town the Nantucket Inn would probably be your best bet.

I am a contractor that works on Nantucket often.... Roberts house would probably be the cheapest, but book early or you won't have anything.

Cheap is NOT an option in the summer on island
