Any group rides this holiday weekend?

Going to up north of boston for the holiday and weather looks great (for late November). Deciding what bike to bring. Any rides at Lynn woods Friday or Saturday?

2010 Niner RIP9, Fox 120 TALAS, Stans Flows with Rampage 2.35' SRAM XO and Juices. Saw some videos on You Tube, looks like my trails here in NEPA. I also have ridden Kingdom Trails and Killington up that way.

I think we've all heard that before. I've yet to a decent video out of Lynn (I think Yo Greg had a pretty good one but it's hard to show scale and perspective in there...)

Enjoy checking out a new place. You'll have fun.

Can't speak for Killington, but Kingdom and Lynn Woods honestly couldn't be more different from one another. Most things look similar through a crappy fish eye helmet cam. Lynn is awesome, but can beat you up. Bring at least some knee pads if you've got em and plan on riding aggressively.

Here's some picures of my trails in Scranton where I live, I've ridden in about 15 different states and I think Lynn Woods would be comparible to PA trails I ride four days a week. Unless you've ridden Millagrossa or south mountain in Arizona; you don't know what techy is.

Not doing turkey until around 5 and want to let it warm up a little. so I'm flexible. PM or TXT me. May even check out B&T trails in Gloucester where I'm staying and do Lynn on Friday or Saturday.

    good luck

I Have ridden both South Mountain (all the gnarly stuff) and La Milagrossa trails in AZ, trust me Lynn Woods is right up there.
BUT, The bad news is that without local knowledge you will never find the goods in Lynn Woods.

Judging by your pics, Lynn is right up your alley.

Obviously a tour is nice, but I've found a lot of fun stuff at Lynn in just a few rides without local knowledge. This link has a few maps of the place that are somewhat easy to follow: Lynn Woods Mountain Biking Maps

I've ridden mostly north of Walden Pond. A good place to start for techy rocks is near the balanced boulder/boston rock area. I may be riding there tomorrow, but I don't profess to know it well enough to offer a real tour. I'll be on a red Marin Mt Vision so gimme a shout if you see me.

I want to know if it was in fact just like PA...because I'd take a road trip.

LW was awesome Today. Started out super foggy, then burned off and warmed up for this time of year. Skull rock to eifel tower loop to ridge extension to ridge, to pow wow to balanced boulder to Chix soup to sweeney stopping to session features along the way. Trails were superb, lil wet and rocks were super grippy. So much fun.
    Hope you got out somewhere.

Here are some pics my friend and I took from this weekend on Saturday:

    Little drop near skull rock:

This roller is hidden off in the woods near Skull rock. The wooden plank measures 55 degrees with an iphone app, but it looks like 80 degrees:

    Roller near the power lines:

    Up

    and down

New roller near boston rock. It will probably get kicked down in a couple of days from the anti-rider gnomes:
