wow JRA sounds like the place to go, thanks everyone.
Now my second dilemma, my bike has been at a LBS for nearly 2 weeks to get a tune up/service and have a new BB installed. They have only taken apart the drive train and havent been able to remove the axle from the pedal.
How do i go about telling them i want my bike parts and what should i pay them for the energy they put into playing around with the crankset?

I also suggest JRA in medford. No attitude like the downtown/cambridge bike shops

It's your bike and parts. Pay them for the time they have spent and bring it to JRA.
I've bought 2 bikes there and no one else touches my bikes.

Yup, he's built me 4 wheels including 3 650B (and more soon). Nice guy who's really into riding and wheel building for sure. No complaints here.

Another vote for Dave. His prices are fair and
    he knows what he's doing...

edit: read thru and see you decided on Mefford.

Props to Dave at Rockland Cycle yet again.

I didn't feel like driving the almost hour to get to his shop with my 650B wheel (my least favorite road Rt. 128 to 95 to 3) so I took it to a more local guy I thought would do a good job checking the wheel over and re-tensioning the spokes for me. Got the wheel back, mounted it on the bike and it was hitting the swingarm. Off by a good 1/4" on the disk side. Yikes, and it also sucked as I was just leaving for NH for the weekend. Had to mount up up my old 26" wheel (also built by Dave which was still perfect) and used that for the weekend. Drove to Dave's shop Monday morning and 15 minutes later had a perfect 650B rear wheel again, centered and tensioned for $10. Lesson learned. The other guy is ok with most stuff but maybe just not with wheels I guess.

Great guy and service. If your close, worth the drive to Rocland Cycles.

I also really like Harris. I was in there last week trying out some cyclocross bikes and they were really helpful. The mechanic (perhaps the person above) left his station and came and helped my girlfriend out to try out some bikes since they were busy at the time. Totally above and beyond the call of duty and I'm a fan of that shop as well.
