    Jiminy Peak vs Thunder mtn.

I'm headed to Jiminy peak in mid Sept. and I'm wondering how the bike park compares to Thunder mountain. Anyone have experience with both and can offer a comparison? I have a Trek remedy and I like technical down hill trails but not necessarily looking for all out DH trails.

    Thanks

If you've ridden T-Mountain, you might be a little disappointed with Jiminy. It has some decent old school steep lines, in fact, there are quite a few demanding, steep technical trails. But, Biking there has become a bit of an after-thought in recent years.

They don't have the trail crew or the diversity of options available at Thunder Mountain. What are your favorite trails at Thunder?

I should add that it is always fun riding anyplace new and different, I'm sure you'll have a good day at Jiminy.

Trail maintenance (I mean even clearing downed trees) seems to be a volunteer effort. You will have a good time at Thunder but might not even get that at Jimmy.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I haven't been the Thunder but it sounds like I may try that since its only 20 min from Jiminy Peak.

Wow - I didn't realize Jiminy was still running MTB operations; thought they got out of it years ago.
